health
Health
The biggest problem pertaining to the Uganda water crisis is the millions of people who are affected each year by water-borne diseases such as diarrhea. In the world, millions die each year as the effect of the water sanitation crisis, and in Uganda alone, 23,000 people die each year. Poor health contributes to a poor quality of life for the victim.
poverty
Poverty
Along with the terrible health affects that unsanitary water can have on these people, the cost of health care is a massive burden on the already-poor Ugandan families living in the affected rural and small town areas. Along with the cost of healthcare, the sick are taking time off of work to get better, or the healthy are taking time off of work to treat the sick. This results in a vicious cycle of sickness leading to poverty.
education
Education
Many people have to forfeit their education for reasons concerning the lack of access to clean water resources in the world. This usually happens when children are sick, and unable to go to school. This also happens when the children are forced to work to support their families who are in need of medicine, or just to make up for the profit lost during the time that they were ill.

Economy
Uganda's economy is also greatly affected ny the lack of water sanitation. When time is taken off of work to recover from a water-bourne illness, not only is the person affected, but the country as a whole is. The less people work, the less money that is going around, and the less services that are available for other countries to buy.
