Uganda has never had access to clean water, but it has not been an issue until the population started growing.
Increasing population has made the issue much worse over the years, starting to do the most of its growth from
1950-2019, where the population grew by approximately 4.5 million people.
The more people there are in a country, the fewer the resources to go around.

Where Does it Affect the Most?
The water sanitation crisis is present in many places around the world, but especially in the African continent.
A whopping 66% of Africa’s population does not have access to a safe source of drinking water.
As an organization, we have chosen to focus on Uganda because of this shocking statistic; 61% of the population does not have
access to safe drinking water. That is 24 million people that have to suffer daily because of the effect of the water
sanitation crisis. The Ugnadan people who are most affected are the ones who are living in rural areas and small towns.
90% of Ugandans live in these places, and over 2/3 of them lack access to safe drinking water.
